A/C Compressor for Your 2002 Jeep Liberty

Posted: January 17, 2012 in Jeep Liberty

It seems that almost every day we get a call from someone who has a 2002 Jeep Liberty AC Compressor failure. A Locked Up 2002 Jeep Liberty AC Compressor, Leaking Compressor, and a bad clutch are all common examples of some of the complaints consumers tend to have. We all want to save money, and replacing the AC Compressor Clutch can be cheaper than replacing the 2002 Jeep Liberty AC Compressor. Unfortunately, the Clutch must be purchased through a Jeep Dealer and cannot be found anywere in the aftermarket.

It is usually not a good idea to replace only the AC Compressor Clutch. Look at it this way: If your Jeep has 75,000 miles on it, your 2002 Jeep Liberty AC Compressor will as well. That said, installing a new AC Clutch does not change the fact that your AC Compressor still has 75,000 miles on it. Instead, look into replacing the entire A/C Compressor Assembly. The cost is not significantly more, and you’ll end up with both a brand new Compressor and Clutch.

The Aftermarket Jeep Liberty Compressor we sell is a a direct bolt-on OEM fit AC Compressor. What that means is that there is essentially no physical difference between your OEM unit and the one we provide. However, our cost to you is significantly lower. In fact, we are very proud to be one of the cheapest Jeep Liberty AC Compressor retailers in the world. Lastly, if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation where you need to replace your Compressor, make sure that you also install a new receiver drier or accumulator as well as a new expansion device. More information on that is available here.
